Fredy Cardenas is a Paralegal at Benach Collopy LLP. He assists the attorneys in preparing applications and motions in all of the firm’s practices.

Fredy has a passion for helping his fellow immigrants due to the fact that he knows first-hand the struggles that they might have endured. Fredy comes from a family of immigrants and he himself knows what it feels like to struggle with an immigration status. Fredy is a DREAMER and part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and remains hopeful that America will do right by him and his fellow Dreamers. Fredy is originally from Honduras.

Fredy has worked as an immigration paralegal for over 6 years and has experience in working with both USCIS and with the immigration courts. Fredy has helped prepare and apply for I-589 Asylums, N-400 Naturalizations, I-130 Family Based-Petition, I-485 Adjustment of Status, I-360 Special Immigration Juveniles, I-90 Replacement Permanent Resident Card, etc.

In his free time, Fredy enjoys going on hikes with his golden retriever, Henny, traveling, and reading books.
