Senior Paralegal

Ashley Bentley is a Senior Paralegal at Benach Collopy, where she assists the Attorneys and leads the paralegal staff in preparing applications in all of the firm’s practice areas.

Prior to joining Benach Collopy, LLP, in September 2021, Ashley worked with a Law Firm in Baltimore City as a Legal Assistant and assisted with a wide variety of Criminal, Family, Immigration, and Personal Injury Cases for several years. Even though she has experience in other areas of law, Ashley has always had a strong passion for immigration and enjoys the fulfilling work of helping our clients achieve a sense of security, belonging, and building better, safer lives in the United States.

Ashley has helped prepare and file Naturalizations, Adjustments of Status, Family-Based Petitions, Removal and Cancellation Proceedings, SIJS (Special Immigrant Juvenile Status), Asylum, Waivers, VAWA’s (Violence Against Women Act), Consular Processing, and much more. In the future, Ashley aspires to become an Immigration Attorney.

Ashley is originally from Houston, Texas, and has resided in Maryland for 12+ years. Ashley interned with the Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore County from 2017 to 2018 as a Criminal Intern. Ashley graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice from Towson University in 2017. In addition, Ashley currently holds a valid Notary Public with the State of Maryland.

When Ashley is not working, she enjoys watching horror movies, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
