DHS Designates Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Yemen

DHS Designates Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Yemen As bombs continue to drop over Sana’a and other parts of Yemen, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for the Republic of Yemen for a period of 18 months effective from September 3, 2015 through March 3, 2017. DHS has taken this important humanitarian step to prevent unnecessary harm from befalling certain Yemeni nationals currently in the United States. DHS may renew the designation at the conclusion of the 18 month period.
